We want to thank all the conference participants for great contributions, many interesting presentations and inspiring discussions, which we all could experience during the conference. It couldn't be possible without you!

We were happy to host such an energising event. We believe that the variety of theories, research projects and design approaches presented there help us now better understand how reserach by designing can be interpreted and developed. We also hope that this event contributes in building an international reserach community focussed on this field.

It is intended that this conference initiates the cycle of conferences. Next one is planned for 2011 in Goteborg (Sweden), at the Chalmers University of Technology.
